MONDAY INSPIRATION: Dior

I'M IN LOVE WITH DIOR
The past two Dior fashion shows have been perfection. Watching them has filled my heart with a whimsical childish joy. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new artistic director for Dior, has infused her first two collections for the iconic label with astrological symbols and tarot card motifs, in reference to Christian Dior's superstitious nature. He was known to ritualistically consult his tarot card reader before he launched each fashion show. Both collections are permeated with femininity, strength and, of course, abundant inspiration!

DREAMING OF SUMMER

I'm sitting on my floor right now, burning incense, listening to Joni Mitchell and wishing I was at splendour In the grass music festival.
Even though it is the dead of winter here in Australia, I thought I would show you some of my summer time/ festival inspiration.

First up is my favourite blog at the moment
THE MESSY HEADS
Emma and India's blog give me such good vibes and makes me feel like lazing around on a beach all day. Their style is really cool and their photos are so nice. Definitely check them out

I found this picture on tumblr, I don't know if this was ever an album cover for this song but I still love it. The colours are really cool and this song is always playing before I go to bed. Its such a relaxing tune and it always manages to calm me down.

these are hairstyles from Valentino ss15 haute couture at Paris fashion week.
I love how delicate and fairy-like these hairstyles are.

This is a picture of my Queen Mimi Elashiry at coachella. Her style is so amazing and I just love this look. Its so nice and relaxed.

blog appreciation post : Kiki Tyler

Ahoy Sailors,
Almost everyday, I manage to get to school far too early.
Instead of revising, doing homework, or really anything productive, I like to waste time browsing through all of my favourite blogs.
The first blog I check is ALWAYS Kiki Tyler,
and let me tell you; reading this blog is no waste of time.
Her constant outflow of posts are incredibly inspiring to me. She features rustic looking photos of incredibly stylish bohemian outfits. Even when clothes are not involved, there are always gorgeous photos of cute items or aesthetically pleasing food.
Even when there are no new blog posts, I always can see more of her talent on her youtube : rosykid
or her instagram: @cctylr
So definitely check this girl out, if you haven't already.
You won't regret it.

DOLCE & GABBANA

I think one of my favourite fashion shows this year was Dolce and Gabbana.
There was something so incredible about this years's FW show.
The use of colours, textures and shapes was appealing to the trends, while still being incredibly unique and fun.
So here are my 5 favourite looks from Dolce and Gabbana FW15

CURRENTLY CRAVING

back at school =
procrastinating doing homework by finding new,
cute products on instagram

~~~
i. TONYMOLY PEACH HAND CREAM
At 15, I don't really have any need for anti ageing hand creams, but this peach hand cream from tonymoly is just so cute.
 ii. GLOSSIER PHASE 1 SET
how to get me to love you
step #1 : buy me glossier
These products are so gorgeous. The packaging is so pretty and the products sound to die for. I love how they come with stickers so you can decorate them.
iii. CUSTOM NAME NECKLACE
I've been seeing these everywhere recently.
iv. FUN FOX HIGH WAIST CARDIGAN
I love wildfox. They're products are so unique and cool and are amazing quality. This cardigan definitely reminds me of Molly Ringwald.
January Inspiration : 1960s
Ahoy Sailors,
So recently I've been channeling a lot of inspiration from all thing 1960s. I love the light colours and the shape of all the clothing. I feel like 1960s mod clothing is made in really flattering shapes. I've also really been liking 1960s makeup. I think the minimal makeup on the face and the emphasis on the eyes is really flattering and looks gorgeous. So here are some images of things that have been inspiring me this month. 1960s and other.
September // October Inspiration
Ahoy Sailors,
Today I thought I'd share with you some of my inspiration over the past couple of months.
i. Charli XCX
I have been super in love with Charli's style. I love the Baby Spice meets Cher Horowitz meets goth look she has going. Her music is also on point and I can't wait for Sucker to come out.
ii. I was watching old Meadham Kirchoff shows and fell in love with the Powdered Courtneys from the SS12 show. It was an awesome idea and Courtney Love is amazing. I wish I could get my hair as perfectly messy as hers.
iii. I found some pictures of Gwen Stefani from the 90s. Her Hair and makeup was so on point. ALL THE TIME.
iv. I've also been completely in love with Kali Uchis. Her style is so cute with it's pastel 90s vibes, I wish I had her wardrobe. And her music is just.... Uggghhhh. It always puts me in such a good mood and  I'm totally obsessed.
v. Music
I've been listening to a lot of music on 8tracks at the moment and I though I would share some of my favourites
Love Meg xx
